Dr. Peter Attia speaks about his early years as a young physician on ER rotation, and how he felt compassion for those with Type 1 Diabetes, but contempt towards obese people with Type 2 Diabetes, because he felt they did it to themselves. But he realized that maybe he was wrong, and has spent the last 7 years studying insulin resistance and how it works. He frankly admits that he was wrong, and makes a very emotional apology to the long-ago woman he looked down on. He also talks about how we really don’t know as much as we think we do, and what if obesity is really a side effect of insulin resistance?

I’ve talked about this with so many of my coaching clients, and hope you’ll listen to this, and consider.
